Shell & Auger Drilling Rig Works

The Shell & Auger Drilling Rig is used to determine the ground conditions at greater depth than the Window Sampler Rig. This drilling technique can generally penetrate most soils encountered within the U.K. and as such proves very useful for pile design information. Disturbed and 100mm undisturbed samples are retained using this method of drilling for later laboratory use.
